  1. World Radio Day is celebrated every year on 13 February across the globe to highlight the importance of radio as an essential part of the maintenance and transition to peace. In 2023, the theme for the World Radio Day is “Radio and Peace”.
  2. National Women’s Day is annually observed across India on 13 February to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu, who is referred to as ‘Nightingale of India’. 2023 marks the 144th birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu.
  3. International Epilepsy Day is annually observed across the globe on the second Monday of February to arise awareness of Epilepsy and its impact on individuals, families and communities around the world. International Epilepsy Day 2023 was observed on 13 February. The theme of International Epilepsy day 2023 is “Stigma”.
  4. The birth anniversary of Thomas Alva Edison is celebrated throughout the world on 11 February.
  5. India and European Union (EU) on 6 February 2023, announced the establishment of the three Working Groups under India-EU Trade and Technology Council.
  6. Reliance Jio in collaboration with GSMA has unveiled a nationwide Digital Skill initiative which intends to provide rural women and people from low-income groups with training based on their specific needs.
  7. Geological Survey of India has for the first time discovered Lithium inferred resources of 5.9 million tonnes in Salal-Haimana area of Reasi District of Jammu & Kashmir.
  8. NASA has appointed veteran astronaut Joe Acaba as chief of the Astronaut Office at the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
